To keep your account safe and to make the most out of the Curate app, we will ask you to verify your identity.
You can verify your identity by going to Profile > Settings (upper right corner, gear icon) > Verify my Identity. Follow the instructions provided. You will be asked to take a photo of your valid Identification card and a self-photo.
To make sure your identity verification is successful, here are the following tips for taking a photo of your identity card and a self-photo:
Take a photo of your Identification Card:
- We recommend that you use your phone’s camera as it typically takes a good quality photo
- Make sure that your area is well lit
- Avoid glare by avoiding direct light on your document
- Use a plain background for the ID
- Avoid holding the ID with your fingers to improve focus and to avoid covering a portion of the document
Taking a Self-photo
- Face the camera directly and level your head
- Have a plain wall in the background
- Avoid glare by using indirect sunlight
