You can register your account both through the web or mobile version of the app. For mobile, download the app (available in the Apple app store and Google play). Register using your name and email. You will be prompted to verify your email and set up a 4-digit pin.
What is a Two-Factor Authentication And Why Should I Use One?
Two-Factor Authentication (2 FA) or 2 Step verification is a verification process that adds an extra layer to your online accounts It is important to set up a 2FA in your curate account. When the 2FA is set up, You will be prompted that it is you who is logging in through a secondary verification process. A time-based one-time password or TOTP, which is an authenticator app can be used or alternatively, through a message sent to your mobile phone. Always ensure that the phone number associated with your account is updated.
To set up your Two-Factor Authentication,
- Navigate to your Profile > Settings (upper right corner, gear icon)
- Click 2FA Set up
- Follow the prompts to complete your authenticator setup.
When 2FA is enabled, you’ll need to provide a unique verification code sent to your phone as an additional security layer to your username and password. The following will trigger a 2-FA verification:
- Log-in attempt from an unrecognized device
- Withdrawing funds from your wallet
- Staking
